How many of us told ourselves that this year, semester, exam, project, or business will be different. I will get better this time. I will improve on certain things.  We all made these promises to ourselves. Yet we fail to make these promises real.  I'm not blaming anyone. I also fall into this category of people. Actually, almost all of us fall into this category! Is it because we are inherently lazy?  Well, the answer is yes and no. Let me explain. Our human brain is still very underdeveloped. It still functions the way it used to function in the cave ages! Our brain works like a binary. It only understands two signals dopamine hit or not. Dopamine is a chemical that gets released in our brain when our brain thinks we have done something rewardable. Dopamine is a reward system in our brain. As a human, our brain has evolved significantly over time, but in many ways, it's still wired like that of our caveman ancestors.  We may have sophisticated tools and technologie...

Sometimes we forget why we started doing something in the first place. Nothing will inspire us unless it's an urgency or a dream that we wanna chase for the rest of our life. After seeing Casey Neistat for the first time on YouTube, one of my forgotten dreams got rejuvenated. Always wanted to make films but thought that dream is so far away and probably almost impossible to achieve. But the way Casey does his storytelling is truly genius. The Internet has democratized artistic expression. Anyone can make films and distribute them to the people and Casey's YouTube channel is a perfect example of that. All the work I am doing today is to finally make films like Casey and tell cool stories.  When Casey moved to LA and stopped uploading I was sad. I was still doing everything to reach my goal but forgot why I started doing it in the first place. And then Casey moved back to NYC again 😊 Started uploading videos like old times. Those boosted board rides through the bike lanes of NYC...

পা চাটাচাটির রাজনীতির দেশে ধর্ষন , লুটতরাজ হওয়াটাই স্বাভাবিক । এটা কোন নির্দিষ্ট দলের দোষ না । আর আমাদের তো দোষ হওয়ার কোন কথা - ই না । আমরা তো কিছুই জানিনা , বুঝিনা । কে খুন হইলো , কার বোনের ধর্ষন হইলো , কে ড্রাইভার এর ভুলে গাড়ি চাপা পড়লো তাতে আমাদের কি ? আমাদের তো কিছু হয়নি । আর আমরা সভ্য মানুষ রাজনীতি করবো কেন ? রাজনীতি তো করে বখাটেরা । আমাদের তো ভাল চাকরি দরকার , ইউরোপ - আমেরিকার নাগরিত্ব দরকার । আর আমাদের অবিভাবক আর শিক্ষকদের দোষ বলতে কিছুই নেই । তারা আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন জীবন মানেইঃ " পড়ালেখা করে যে , গাড়ি - ঘোড়ায় চড়ে সে " । নৈতিকতা , ন্যায়পরায়ণতা , দেশপ্রেম এগুলা কি ভাই ? এগুলা কি তোমাকে বুয়েট , মেডিকেলে টিকাবে ?

আমাদের এই কম এটেনশন স্প্যান এর যুগে এই লোকটা আমার মনে কেমনে জানি আটকে গেছে। এই ব্যাক্তির নাম জিম মরিসন, আমার মনেহয় ওনার পরিচিতি দেয়ার কোন দরকার নেই! হার্ডকোর মিউজিক ফ্যানরা এই মানুষ কে না চিনার কথা-ই না। এই লোককে দ্যি ডোরস ব্যান্ড এর গায়ক, গীতিকার, লেখক অথবা প্রানই বলা যায়। তার সৃষ্টিগুলা বড়ই অদ্ভুত তবে সুন্দর। অদ্ভুত-সুন্দর শব্দটা মনেহয় জিম এর গানের জন্যই তৈরী হইছে। একবার এক সাক্ষাতকারে জিম বলেছিলেন যে " আমি যখন গাই তখন আমি ক্যারাক্টার তৈরী করি "। বুঝাই যাচ্ছে যে তার গানে তার কল্পনা বা  ফ্যান্টাসি কাজ করতো। জিম এর গানকে সবচেয়ে বেশি প্রভাবিত করেছে তার দেখা একটা সড়ক দূর্ঘটনা। যেই দূর্ঘটনায় মারা যায় দুইজন রেড ইন্ডিয়ান। তার বয়স তখন অনেক কম ছিল। সেই থেকেই তার গানের মধ্যে সেই রেড ইন্ডিয়ানদের মধ্যে একজনকে রুপক হিসেবে ব্যাবহার করতে দেখা গেছে। সে ভাবতো ঐ লোক ছিলেন একজন সেমান। সেমানদের বলা হয়ে থাকে রেড ইন্ডিয়ানদের একধরনের আধ্যাত্মিক লোক, যারা মানুষের মনে প্রবেশ করতে পারে! যেমন দ্যি ডোরস এর এই গানটাঃ Shaman's Blues ___ There will never be Another one like you There ...
